Q & A with event organizer, Darren Skanson.
1. The spring Park Hill Art Festival has been going on for years, but this is the first time you are doing a holiday gift market. What made you decide to do that?
“The folks in Parkhill have been so gracious with their support of the spring fine art find craft Parkhill art festival that we felt we wanted to also give them an opportunity during the holiday time to experience some of the great artists and crafters that CCM Events has to offer.”
2. This is a “Holiday handmade gift market,” what are some examples of things that will be for sale at this event?
“There will be several painters with their fine art paintings, But also some wonderful rocking chairs, some beautiful pottery, some exquisite foods, and of course holiday themed items like wreaths, snowmen, and Christmas trees.”
3. There is a ticket drawing for Park Hill residents, could you tell us more about that?
“First of all, it’s not only for Parkhill residents but also for anyone attending the market. You can get a ticket for free from any artist at the festival. You can have a chance to win a $250 or a $500 gift market shopping spree. The drawing will be at noon on Friday and noon on Saturday. If you win you can pick out anything you want in the whole festival in fact even multiple things in the festival up to your winning amount. How cool is that?”
4. You’ll providing entertainment on both days via the Skanson & Hansen guitar duo. What times will you be performing and what types of music will you be playing?
“We will be playing all of your holiday favorites. “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” all day both days!”
