What is City Park Jazz?

The historic Colorado concert series known as City Park Jazz first began officially in 1986. However, its origins stretch back more than 130 years to a time when Denver locals would stroll through Central Park to listen to musicians play at the City Park bandstand.

Since the concert series first began, its audience has only continued to grow. Every year, thousands of Denver residents and visitors flock to listen to local musicians share their jazzy jams. This completely free concert series is a time-honored tradition, and it is here to bring people together over a shared love of jazz music!

City Park Jazz takes place at City Park, one of Denver’s many great local parks, with the performance being held at the pavilion. You can explore this year’s list of talented performers here.

Who Can Attend City Park Jazz?

Families, couples, friends, and everyone else are more than welcome to attend City Park Jazz. Since the concert series is completely free, it is a wonderful opportunity for people to enjoy a free night out in the city, making it a perfect match for all budgets.

City Park Jazz concerts can be overstimulating for some individuals and pets. Due to the high volume of people in attendance and the loud sounds coming from the stage, City Park Jazz may not be a good match for everyone.
